SINGAPORE: Continental Vacation Singapore has been suspended from conducting vacation agent things to do for 5 months from Tuesday (Jul 19), stated the Singapore Tourism Board (STB).

“Continental Travel Singapore allegedly engaged in cashback arrangements by partly refunding, in cash, the benefit of the SingapoRediscovers voucher bookings designed by some customers of the public,” the tourism board additional.
In September last yr, the police arrested three people connected to the vacation company for their alleged involvement in the fraudulent redemptions. Law enforcement investigations are ongoing, mentioned STB.
“STB will take a major perspective of errant vacation agents and will not wait to just take required motion to safeguard the popularity of Singapore’s vacation industry, together with referring circumstances to the law enforcement,” it additional.
